Hazid is our asbestos & environmental advisory arm. This is draft content for review.

A consultant on your side

Some engagements need more than a single report. A multi-stage development, a property portfolio, or a complex site can throw up hazardous-materials questions for months — across asbestos, but also lead, silica, contaminated soil and more. Handling each as a separate, disconnected job is slow, expensive and leaves gaps between the milestones.

Environmental consultation is the ongoing relationship that joins it all up: a single consultant who knows your project, coordinates the assessments, plans and clearances as they're needed, and stays available for the questions in between. You get continuity and one accountable point of contact — with accredited testing and a licensed field team on call when the project calls for them — instead of starting from scratch with every new issue.

Right for you if you want a consultant retained across a project or portfolio — coordinating obligations, controls and documentation across asbestos and other hazardous materials as things change.

If you only need one specific deliverable — a compliance management plan, a site assessment, or remediation oversight — go straight to that service.

How we support your project

All hazardous materials, one adviser

Asbestos, lead, silica, contaminated soil and other hazardous materials handled by one consultant — not a different contractor for each.

A single point of contact

One consultant who knows your project end-to-end and coordinates whatever it needs, so nothing falls between the gaps.

Planning & sequencing

We plan when assessments, plans and clearances are needed across the program — so hazardous materials never hold up your timeline.

Commissioning the right deliverables

When a specific job is needed — an assessment, a management plan, remediation oversight — we scope and commission it for you, then fold the result back into the project.

Stakeholder & regulator liaison

Support communicating with owners, tenants, insurers, councils and regulators — in language they'll accept.

Advice between milestones

A consultant on call for the questions that come up day to day, so you're never left guessing or starting a new engagement from scratch.

Just need one specific deliverable?

If you don't need an ongoing relationship — only a compliant register and management plan — we prepare those as a standalone service.

Environmental consultation FAQs

What does environmental consultation include?

It's tailored — typically a review of your obligations, advice on the right controls, support with documentation, an independent eye over works and clearance, and a consultant on call across the project. We scope it to what you actually need. (Confirm the exact service scope before launch.)

Who is this for?

Property owners, developers, body corporates, schools, commercial operators and managers who want ongoing advisory support and a single accountable point of contact — rather than a one-off report they're left to interpret.

How is this different from a management plan?

A management plan is a specific deliverable — a documented plan for how asbestos is monitored and controlled at a site. Consultation is the broader advisory relationship that may include preparing one. We can do either, or both.

Is Hazid independent from the people doing the works?

Yes. Hazid advises; physical works are delivered separately by the licensed Asbestos Watch field team. That separation keeps our advice impartial while still giving you one group accountable end-to-end. (Confirm preferred wording for the AW/Hazid relationship.)

Can you engage for just one question, or do I need an ongoing arrangement?

Either. Some clients want a single advisory session to confirm their obligations; others want a consultant retained across a multi-stage project. We'll recommend the lightest engagement that covers you. (Confirm engagement models before launch.)
