Independent oversight you can rely on

Remediation is only as good as its scope and its sign-off. A vague scope leaves gaps; a self-certified result leaves you exposed. The value of an independent adviser is that the people setting the standard and verifying the outcome aren't the same people doing — and being paid for — the work.

Hazid defines the remediation scope and method up front, monitors the works against it, and carries out an independent clearance on completion — documented so it stands up to owners, insurers, councils and regulators. Where physical remediation is required, it's delivered by the licensed Asbestos Watch field team, with Hazid remaining the independent clearance authority. You get one accountable group from scope to sign-off, without losing the independence that makes the result defensible.

Right for you if asbestos or contamination has been identified and you need the remediation scoped, monitored and independently cleared so you can prove it was done right.

Not yet sure what's there? Start with a contamination assessment first. Need the physical works done? That's handled by the Asbestos Watch field team.

How remediation oversight works

  1. 1

    Scope & method statement

We define a remediation scope and method appropriate to the site, the contaminant and your obligations — so everyone knows what 'done' looks like before work starts.

  2. 2

    Contractor & controls review

We review the controls, containment and method of whoever carries out the works against the agreed scope and the relevant standards.

  3. 3

    Independent oversight during works

Monitoring of the works as they proceed — confirming the method is being followed and catching issues while they're still cheap to fix.

  4. 4

    Clearance inspection

An independent clearance assessment on completion, confirming the area is safe for reoccupation or the next stage. (Confirm clearance certification and any air monitoring before launch.)

  5. 5

    Documented sign-off

A clearance report and documentation evidencing the works met the agreed scope and relevant standards — the proof your stakeholders need.

Independent clearance documentation issued on completion of remediation

What you walk away with

A clearance you can prove, not just a verbal all-clear

On completion you receive an independent clearance assessment and supporting documentation — evidence that the remediation met the agreed scope and the relevant standards. It's the record you hand to owners, insurers, councils or your board to show the site was genuinely made safe.

Remediation advice FAQs

Why use an independent adviser for remediation?

Because the party doing the work shouldn't be the only party certifying it's done. Independent scoping and clearance give owners, insurers and regulators confidence the works were appropriate and complete — and protect you if the result is ever challenged. (Confirm wording before launch.)

Do you carry out the remediation too?

Hazid advises, oversees and clears. The physical remediation is delivered separately by the licensed Asbestos Watch field team. That separation keeps our clearance independent while still giving you one accountable group from scope to sign-off. (Confirm the preferred description of the AW/Hazid split.)

What is a clearance, and do I get a certificate?

A clearance is an independent assessment on completion that confirms the remediated area is safe for reoccupation or the next stage of works, supported by documentation. (Confirm whether a formal clearance certificate is issued and by whom before launch.)

Can you oversee works done by another contractor?

Yes. We can scope, monitor and clear remediation regardless of who performs it — our role is the independent standard and sign-off, not the labour.

What do I get at the end?

An independent clearance assessment and documentation evidencing that the remediation met the agreed scope and the relevant standards — the proof you can hand to any stakeholder.
